movie review nightmare on elm st. remake.

first off lemme asy this is the first time i noticed how cheap made for netflix dvds are getting. like seriously this dvd didnt even have a scene selection "button" on the main menue. and the begining had like 15 mins of previews and ads. weak netflix.... any way this movie was one of my favs growing up. this remake stayed true to the first film. which was good. but i hated the new freddy... his face/mask they used was realistic in a way of what an actual burn victum would look like. with not much facail structure, no nose, no lips, etc . i just didnt like the way it looked, not scary or gross or even cheesey. like tryin too hard lame. and his over too obviously-over-debbed-recorded in a sound stduio- forced- dark knight'ish- monster voice. it bothered me. and his dialoge. yeah they tried to keep the freddy jokes in tact and even used some of ther original freddy dialoge, but it was kinda ovwer the top. and not in a good way like the original.... and they made freddy look like even more of a creepy child molester than in the previous series of elm st's.... creepy. i hated the cgi scenes like the recrreation of the wall buldging scene. i hated it. also ive never seen anyone in this film before. they coulda at least threw in traci lords or some other bmovie olddy. the main dude in the movie looked like a twilight extra and the new nacy was a weird emoish sad girl. lame. the coolest part is the ending. when they left an open ending. not too bad but nuthig compaired to the original. however it's better than most of the other "horror" movies coming out nowa days. p.s. the opening sequence looked like some left over korn music video photage. hahahaha 3.5 outta 5.

movie review... the education of charlie banks.

anuther movie with jesse eisenberg... but surprisingly this in this one he acts a lil different... and for the better. this is a movie about a violent bully coming back into the life of a kid who called the cops on him for beating some jocks to near death....needles to say the snitch is afraid of the bully and the bully starts fukin shit up for the kid. not much of a plot line. a wide assortment of musical stylings add to the movies bleekness and era (?) but the viewer is never quite sure when this film is taking place. and that bothered the viewer (me). a near no name cast and lots of brown in the color scheme just like all the movies j.e. does.... oh and wtf!? fred durst in his directorial debut.... good for him. ... imean going up against a then on top of the world britney spears is no easy task. exspecaily ewhen she denys sleeping with u and has u black listed from radio..... but i know in my heart fred fucked that hoe. america was just quick to believe her back then because obviously fred "did it all for the nookie" and brit was just a lil "not that innocent"... but what ever. he totally banged her and brit should just addmit it insted of making HIM look like the asshole.... but back to the movie it was something to watch not worth more than the five bux i spent on it but what the hell a lot better than most the other movies i've seen lately..... 3.5 outta 5 but only good for like three watches at most.

movie review "robin hood men in tights"

i love mel brooks. and with a young dave chappelle how could this movie suck? it could if u didnt give hi enuff lines. a couplse funny parts but this is one of brooks' lamest films. supre dry even for dry humor standards. its funny that they had dick van patten and tracy ulllman in it and how mel asks "faggalas?" to the merry men. hahaha also how they explain the name "john" being used as a name for toilets. oha nd patrick stewart at the end was a sweet surprise. but stilll lame. 0.5 outta 5

movie review rush beyond the lighted stage.

i love rush. i love documenterys. so a rush doc would be the sweetest thing ever. but just how sweet? way more sweet than i could have ever imagined. things i learned... rush has like 20 some albums out. geedy lee's a jew, and his parents are holocost survivors. super late in his carreer as a drummer neal pert changed his drumming technique as well as the way he held his sticks. i also learned that geddy and the gitar player have been best friends since elementry school...... i also remebered what i didnt like about rush.... the 1980's... after moving pictures the band started to suck ass.but in the later 90's they actually picked it up. and then neal pert's daughter and wife died. and he just left... not quit the band, he just got on his motorcycle and rode. sending postcards along the way. wwhen he came back they made an album and toured again. as if nuthing had ever changed... pretty sweet. also the end of the movie has all three mebers sittin around a table drinkin wine and acting goofy as hell. like its the first time they have ever gotten drunk. kinda like steve brule drinkin sweet berry wine. and they also have a bunch of other musicians talkin about why they love rush. trent reznor and billy corgan are both surpriseingly normal nice "dudes" in this doc. 5 outta 5.
